 Here is my experience in Australia

I can’t say I have rich experience in traveling because I am still a beginner as well. However, trying to travel at least once teaches you a lot!

Now, let me tell you more about Brisbane in terms of accommodation, transportation, food, people, currency and attractive places:

 

Accommodation:

It is a quiet city even though it has a modern lifestyle, you can see the skyscrapers everywhere and the streets are crowded only in the morning. However, starting from 3 pm the city gets quiet during the working days. There are many beautiful hotels, however, I spent 5 weeks in a guest house of an old lovely lady. It was very cheap, as far as I remember it cost me around 200 OMR for the 5 weeks.

Transportation:

The public transportations in Brisabne are really cheaper than getting around with your own car. For me, I depended only on buses and ferries to get around. It costs you around 3$ to get to another close place. The further the place the higher the price, however, it is still cheaper than cars.

Food:

The food was amazing and you can have different options. What I liked the most is that the amount of food for one person is more than enough. I remember ordering a falafel sandwich that my friend and I shared and felt full! As you can see in the picture, we ordered tacos, one porito, side dish and drinks for less than 7 OMR. Mexican food is the cheapest among all the cuisines.

For Muslims, you can easily find halal food anywhere as many Muslims live in Brisbane.

 People:

The people were very friendly. They were polite and always offered help and they smile at your face all the time. I noticed they aren’t afraid to talk to strangers, especially in the buses. Probably because Brisbane has people from different cultures so they are used to seeing people from different places around the world.
